Lottie

We believe that Lottie was about 18 months old when we rescued her. We know that

she was physically abused throughout her young life. When she arrived, she was

emaciated and her coat was totally matted - she had mentally shut down. We took

her to the vets for a check up where it was discovered that she was only days away

from giving birth – not that you would know this by looking at her. We bathed her and

clipped her, and started feeding her little and often to try and build her up, knowing

that giving birth would take a physical toll. We didn’t know how many pups she would

have, or given what she had gone through, if they would be ok. Amazingly she gave

birth to 7 healthy puppies. Only once she had given birth did she get her own

puppyhood back. Lottie is now such a happy little dog, despite what has happened to

her. She does bear some of the mental scars of her past, but here at Hollyview she knows she is safe and loved.
