Suki
Suki was bought for an elderly lady suffering with dementia.
Unfortunately, the elderly lady was unable to care for herself, let alone a cat and not
able to remember whether she had fed her, or where she was, so she resorted to
locking Suki in the bathroom.
When social services called to check on their patient, they discovered that Suki, left
in her own excrement, without food and water, with deep scratches all over the walls
and floor, was so distressed and had clearly tried very hard to escape.
Suki was obviously mentally and physically scarred by her ordeal, she was a terrified
cat who wanted to hide away from the world. She would just sit and shake as her
fear was so profound.
With the love and care that she has been shown at Hollyview, and the space she has
been given, just to be herself, she is now a very different cat to the timid, tortured
animal she was when she arrived. Here she is safe and loved.
