The rehoming process

At Hollyview we take rehoming our cats seriously and we don't want to promise someone a cat before we know your circumstances. So before you come to visit us, we will come to visit your home and discuss your requirements. This is because not all cats are suitable for all homes. We know these cats as they have been living with us for some time so we can then recommend the right cat for you and your family.

We will look at your circumstance and we don’t have any specific guidelines, but we do tend to avoid children under the age 5 for the health and safety of both the cat and the child. A lot of our cats will live with dogs as they do at sanctuary but again, we have certain cats who would not be happy in that environment.

The cost is £80 to adopt one of our cats and £125 for kittens this helps us to cover the cost of vaccinations, neutering, microchipping and flea/worming treatment before they come home with you.
